International Advisory Board

Our International Advisory Board brings an independent, global perspective to AIMD. Made up of distinguished academics from leading institutions worldwide, the board helps ensure our research stays aligned with international technology trends, and that our work shapes the standards and policy defining the future of integrated motor drives.

Meeting with the lead academics from each partner university formally twice a year, and on an ad hoc basis as needed, board members advise on the technical direction of the programme, challenge our thinking, and strengthen the pathways that take our research from the lab towards real-world impact. Their breadth of expertise, spanning electric machines, power electronics, and sustainable electrification, keeps the AIMD research programme outward-looking and globally relevant.

The board is chaired by Professor Tom Jahns of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, a globally recognised authority on electric machines and drives.
